A big welcome from the SaLT team to our returning families and to families who are joining us this academic year. It has been lovely to see the children starting to settle into their classes over the past few weeks.

For pupils who are returning to Aspire, please return any speech and language resources sent home for practice over the summer break to enable us to reuse the resources. Please also let us know of any changes to your child’s speech and language over the summer, particularly if they are using any AAC, so that we can make amendments to visuals if needed. In the first instance, please highlight this to your class teacher who will either make amendments themselves or let us know that changes need to be made.

There are a lot of pupils joining Aspire this academic year. We aim to see new students within 2 terms of beginning at the school and we will contact parents at this time. Please send any recent NHS or private Speech and Language Therapy reports you may have. In most cases, we will have spoken to our NHS colleagues before your child arrives at Aspire but reports can be slower to reach us.
